1ST ANNUAL WKU / CARIBBEAN HALL OF FAME

We are pleased to announce that the World Karate Union Hall Of Famewill co-host the 1st WKU/Caribbean Hall Of Fame with Soke Christopher Francis on April 28, 2007 in Trinidad.
At a meeting attended by WKU International Board Members (including Hanshi Ramon Lawrence of Australia, Grandmaster Dan Horia Chinda of Romania, Master George Bierman, Dr. Robert Braff, Dr. Kevin Hufford, Grandmaster Santiago Sanchis of Spain, Soke Christopher Francis of Trinidad) at the 2005 WKUHOF held at the Chateau Resort & Conference Center in Tannerville, Pa. on July 2, 2005, criteria was reached and agreed upon in forming the WKU / Caribbean Hall Of Fame. Announcement was madeof this endeavor at the WKU Hall Of Fame Banquet & Awards Ceremony July 2, 2006 and was received by great excitement and anticipation.

All induction notices will be sent from WKU office to candidates. As we are trying to make this event truly memorable for the citizens of the Caribbean, only those living in the Caribbean (Trinidad, Tobago, Barbados, St. Lucia, etc.) will be inducted at this ceremony, although all are encouraged to support and attend the banquet and participate in the Pan-Caribbean International Championships. All WKU members, past and present who are able to attend will be presented with a embroidered black belt with their name and Pan-Caribbean on it. As this event has been postponed 6months due toInternational mailings, all paperwork must be submitted before April 10th to WKU office. WKU is not responsible for delays in payments to any 3rd party instead of WKU. Paperwork received after this date will result in awards being presented week of October 17-19th, 2007
